- After appearing or qualifying 10+2 exam the candidate has to register for CA foundation course. The registration can be done through the website of ICAI
Becoming a CA is dreams of millions of Students. CA Foundation is the first 1st step towards this dream. It was earlier known as CPT.
CA Foundation is a partially subjective and a partially objective test comprising the following four papers: Principles and Practices of Accounting. Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting. Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics. Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge. The first two papers are subjective while the latter two are objective. Each paper is worth 100 marks for a total of 400 marks. A student has to score minimum 50% overall and 40% in each subject to pass the examination.
- Three written papers form the First University Examination, together with a submitted portfolio of two exam essays of 2,000 words for Introduction to English Language and Literature.
- All exams must be passed, but marks do not count towards the final degree.
